As you all know my husband and I have a white Himalayan cat named Purl. Since I moved in 4 years ago Purl has never really accepted me. She is a very jealous cat and before I came along it was just her and my husband.
Every time my husband and I are watching TV she will always come and jump on his lap. In the 4 years that I have been there she has never came and slept on my lap!
Well last night it happened! I was watching TV and my husband was working late. Purl was walking by like she usually does and she jumped up on my lap, curled into a ball and slept for a good 15-20 minutes. It was such a treat!
When I was little I had a cat named Snowflake and she was my life. She would always come and sleep with me. Now that I am older I miss having a cat come and sleep with me. Hopefully this is just the beginning of her finally warming up to me - I guess we will just have to wait and see.
