We have our dogs stay in the garage most of the time. We have a pretty big garage but we also have a lot of junk in there as well! My fiancé and I decided to start cleaning all of the junk out of the garage. Last weekend we filled a full van and drove it to the dump.
The goal is to make enough room in the garage so that the dogs can run free in the wintertime. Our dogs do not like cold weather and they are big babies when it comes to being outside during the wintertime. It is funny how much junk can build up over the years. Our plan is to clear out the garage and keep it clear.
A good rule of thumb is if you have not used it, wore it or even seen or touched it in 5 years -Get rid of it! About a fourth of the clutter in the garage is mine, a forth is my fiancés and the rest used to be his grandparents before they passed away.

What a great idea! I love that you are making more space for you two dogs. Chocolate labs need lots of room to run around.
