My fiance’ and I have some really good friends of ours that recently went out of town on vacation to Mexico! They asked if we would come over and check on there cat Shadow. Well last night we went over there to give Shadow some food and check on her and she was no where to be found. We looked everywhere in the house and we finally found her hiding under the a table in the kitchen. Shadow is an all black cat and has bright greenish yellow eyes, so she blended right in to the darkness under the table.
She was very scared when I first met her. All she did when I would try to get near her was hiss and act like she was going to attack me! I asked my fiance’ if this is how she acts when he tries to get close to her and he said it happens to him every time. So I did not take it personal because it sounded like that was her defense mechanism when it comes to people she does not know. You would think that after spending a little time with her she would warm up, but it never happened. Next time I am over at there house I am going to try to spend more time with her so eventually she will warm up to me!
